New Look - “Nap On The Bow”

I only just found out about New Look a few days ago, but I fell in love instantly. Not only would their music fit perfectly into the Drive soundtrack or the radio of a stolen car in GTA: Vice City, but the band members themselves are cool as hell. New Look consists of Canadian duo Adam Pavao and Sarah Ruba, who also happens to be a model in her spare time, doing shoots for Vogue, Banana Republic, i-D, and more. You know, just a normal boring hobby. They also happen to be married, which is totally adorable.

While their entire self-titled album is fantastic, “Nap On The Bow” is definitely a stand out track. There’s just something about Sarah’s soft vocals and the bouncy synths that make me feel so at ease whenever I listen. Though they like to refer to their music “Future-Pop”, I get a distinct 80s New Wave vibe every time I hear them. Give them a try and decide for yourself!
